Go outside

Hello you lot. I hope you are so, so well and that you had a great weekend. I think I had had the best weekend I’ve had in such a long time, in terms of feeling rested and fulfilled. It was simple, really. I went outside, I didn’t look at my phone much and I went off into the countryside with some of my closest friends and we walked, we rode bikes, and we went to see some baby goats and some horses. I was absolutely in my element. We went for a full day, and I felt so recharged that it felt like I’d been away from London for the entire weekend.

I don’t know how you all feel about the city, and whether you live within a city, London or otherwise, but I always find that I really need to escape fairly often in order to feel like I’ve got a much needed level of balance in my life. For me, I grew up in a town just outside of Manchester so I had the option to be within the city centre. I much prefer it that way. The older I get, the more I want to head for the hills! I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it though, I’m not quite ready to hang up my London hat, yet.

This look is something I fall back into day after day. Of course, I like to wear new things that I love, and am excited to buy or re-wear something that I love, but there’s also something great about getting your wear out of things, and feeling really comfortable whilst you’re doing it!

This open cardigan is from ASOS, and it’s such a great throw on piece. It comes in oatmeal too but I’ve worn this black one so much. I love the cut of it, and it’s really warm too. My jeans are a slim/skinny Levi as always, and you cannot go wrong.

The boots are by Church’s and honestly, they are the comfiest boots I own. They’re a little on the higher side price wise and I was kindly gifted these as part pf a project with Farfetch, but I would buy these over and over, and will continue to do so once I’ve worn these into the ground!

Since this Sophie hulme ‘Bolt bag’ arrived, I’ve barely used anything else. It’s the medium size, fits so much in and is wearing so well (doesn’t mark or scratch easily).
