Layering & making good investments

Hello you lot! I hope you’re all so well and are having the best week. As we cosy up and wind down for Christmas, I wanted to share a look I’ve been wearing so much recently. I worked with Vestiaire on this post to choose some accessories that I would wear time and time again. I wanted an alternative daytime bag and some flat shoes that would still work as it gets colder.

You know me and my love for pre-owned luxury shopping on Vestiaire. I’ve had some of my most worn and most loved piece from their amazing online curations. I chose this incredible silk navy blue bag by The Row, which is really hard to get hold of! I use it so often because it fits so much in and it is such a great shape. Not safe for rain though (!). Next up I found these incredible Céline lace up flats and I literally couldn’t believe my luck. I’d been searching for the perfect flat shoe that could be day or evening wear and they are the perfect shape, size and are so incredibly comfortable. These were brand new, too. So not everything you find has to have been worn on Vestiaire.

I’ll always try to invest in my designer pieces via Vestiaire where I can, it makes so much sense in terms of sustainability, cost and finding gems you might have missed out on the first time around. It helps us to move away from such a throw away culture where our wardrobes are concerned. I don’t know about you but I love that year on year I have well loved pieces that I revisit. This classic chunky knit is from one of the best on the high street; & Other Stories. I’ve worn this knit so much and despite the plunging v neck, it works well with a crew neck t-shirt or roll neck underneath too.

The skinny trousers are also from & Other Stories and are something I’ve needed in my wardrobe for quite some time now. I think with a more oversized top they’re perfect. They are high waisted and have zips at the ankle too so they look great with heels.

My leather coat is by Acne Studios and has honestly been one of the best investments in fashion I’ve ever made. I got it at an Acne Studios outlet last year so it was heavily discounted. I wore it throughout the winter last year and I’m doing the same again this year. It’s such a good piece to keep a look out on Vestiaire for
