What to wear with long silky skirts

Hello you gorgeous lot. It's finally Friday and I'm so happy to be heading into another scorching weekend! I'm actually off to Wilderness with Lizzy. I've been a few times now and I do really love it, but Lizzy hasn't been before so we've spent today exchanging packing lists and I've been providing her with shocking news such as, our tent has electricity! It's been a laugh. I'm sure this weekend will be also.

I'm sharing another one of my looks from LA today that was shot on film, and I really love how they turned out. The colours are so strong and I really like the feel of them.

I was sent this skirt as a gift recently and it's so beautiful but I struggled to feel nice in it. You know what I mean don't you? When you just feel a bit awkward in something? That. I managed to crack it by sticking with my usual rule of knotted t-shirt. I think where the skirt is so beautiful and feminine, I needed to toughen it up a little so I felt like myself wearing it. The skirt sits quite low too, so I think I found the proportions harder to work with than usual- mainly because I've got the worlds longest body!

I am obsessed with this Patagonia t-shirt. You know me, I love a t-shirt so much, so this is perfect to dress this skirt down, and then with any form of denim forever more. I also cannot stop using this bag from LK Bennett, there isn't an outfit it doesn't compliment! Their new season pieces are so different to what I'm used to seeing from them, and it's looking pretty cool and chic.

Thank you so much for reading as always, and I'll see you back here next week, Wednesday I think! There won't be a post on Monday as I'll be at home with family. xx
