Layering in Autumn
Hello you lot! I hope you are all so well and have had a really great week. I am so thankful, beyond belief, that it’s Friday. I’ve had one of those weeks that’s felt so back to back that I just haven’t had chance to enjoy it. Anyway, we’re going to Suffolk to spend some time with James’ family this weekend and I can’t wait to switch off.
I shot this look earlier in the week and it’s fast becoming one of my favourite ways to layer now that it’s starting to get a little bit chilly. I’m not moaning though, I absolutely love the weather at the moment, it’s really bright and crisp out so I can deal with that!
This knit is by Sea NY, and I’m honestly obsessed with it. The quality is incredible, and I love the way it fits. it’s a little bit itchy, so I like to wear something underneath, and if not a shirt for layering, then just a cotton fitted t-shirt is great.
I feel like a shirt under a knit is reminiscent of Rachel Green from Friends’ chic work wardrobe, and I’m not mad about it. She is a style queen, I think we’ll all agree. The shirt, is honestly the best white shirt I’ve got in my wardrobe; it’s by Absence of Paper and it’s so beautifully made, feels amazing on and has a structured/slight stiff sleeve detail that makes it extra special. I wear this without a knit over the top too, because its just so crisp.
Denim wise I’ve stuck to my trusty vintage 501' Levi’s. I’m having a moment for a slimmer jean now that boot season is upon us. I love a straight leg usually but I really love that these are just that bit slimmer….time to get to the tailors to taper some of my other styles!
