Styling an Oxford shirt

oxford shirts for girls

Hi you lovely lot. I hope you’re having a great week! I literally cannot complain, again, because I’ve just come home from being in the Maldives on a press trip. I know, mental. Just figuring out ways to keep my tan in the London rain. At least this blog post contains some wonderful pieces that I’ve been wearing lots recently for you.

I started working with ARKET on some gift basis projects which is very lovely and very lucky because I love the brand so much. Both tops I’m wearing are ARKET. I’ve fallen quite in love with Oxford shirts, they’re so versatile! I love that they can be layered for the daytime, then worn open at the buttons a bit for an evening look. This blue colour is also doing it for me- it reminds me of Spring pastels, without the added ‘prettiness’ that pastel colours can sometimes bring.

The shirt fits true to size, and it’s not very fitted which I love about it. I did size up to a 38 in this so I had some room to play with and I like the way it fits. I put a long sleeved silky top underneath that I’ve also been wearing on its own too. It’s great for a slinky, sexy look too because it’s fitted and the material is beautiful.

I dug out my trusty ‘Row’ jeans by Weekday for the bottom half because they cannot be beaten when it comes to high waist, slightly wider straight leg. Plus they’re long! So tall girls, we’re covered. I got a leg length 30 and I’m 5’11. I cinched them in with this class belt from & Other Stories, black patent croc effect leather with gold hardware- the dream.

Moving onto accessories and I think I hit peak with By FAR. I am such a fan! The mini bag is amazing for evenings out, and looks so chic- it comes with a long cross body strap too. The bag comes in so many textures and colours. The shoes are also By FAR, and I wear them every time it’s not raining, seriously. They’re comfy and also come in a range of colours/textures. I couldn’t recommend them more as a staple Spring/Summer shoe! They go with everything.
