in Ibiza for the H&M x Love Stories shoot

H&M x Love Stories: the shoot

Hello you lot! I hope you’re having the best week so far. I have been DESPERATE to share this with you but I wanted to wait until you could actually shop the H&M x Love Stories collaboration online as it launches today, and in some selected stores too. This has been a major career highlight for me, and something I am so proud of. When the job came through I wasn’t exactly feeling myself, or having a good mental health week and this opportunity really helped me to push through that and stop doubting myself.

I have worked with, and loved H&M for many many years now. To have the opportunity to work with a brand that is so heavily entwined into my wardrobe is just the loveliest feeling.

And so the prep was on. I would say that I feel good about my body, and that I have a good relationship with body positivity. However, a swimwear shoot was brand new terrority, and I wanted to be in the best place mentally for it. I enlisted the help of one of my favourite people, Danielle Peazer, who is not only one of the good eggs, but is the founder of the Danielle Peazer Method whereby she trains people in the same way she did as a dancer. Think strength over being skinny, hard work and a really great and enjoyable work out that targets everything you want to. All the while, Danielle is there to be your biggest support, cheerleader and general training angel. I saw Danielle once or twice per week then did the work-outs she made for me at home or in the gym in between. I couldn’t have felt my best without Danielle and she has changed my attitude to exercise completely- I love it now, and before I just did it because I thought I should.

Next up was my hair. My blonde takes a village and that village starts and ends with Harriet Muldoon at Larry King London- she’s been my colour queen for years and I even followed her from her old salon because I couldn’t bear for anyone else to do my blonde! She gave me a really natural blonde gloss and I couldn’t be happier. For a cut, I always go to Lily who is an angel with the scissors, always shouts at me for wanting a fringe because she knows best, and listens to what I want every time.

Felling fully ready to take on the swimwear, we headed off to Ibiza for 3 days. It was incredible. The hotels we stayed at were the most perfect Spainsh back drops by the ocean and made for the most beautiful shoot location. The first hotel we stayed at was for the shoot and that was called La Tourre Hotel which was gorgeous, as was the breakfast.

We had different time slots throughout the day to get our shots. Hair and make-up were on hand to give us all a really natural look with super beachy hair and I’ve never been able to style my hair like this before! I chose 2 looks from the H&M x Love Stories swim collection, the green triangle bikini and the pink surf one piece which I am obsessed with, and now I obviously want to take up surfing.

I can’t tell you just how much I loved this trip, this shoot, this entire collaboration. You can now shop the pieces too! So that’s really exciting. They are amazing quality, and comfortable. This collection is inspired by 70’s poolside Ibiza holidays with a sporty edge. You can relax poolside but also surf, swim, be active in these pieces too.

Here are the links to the pieces I am wearing for you:

Tie bikini bottoms

Triangle bikini top- green

Long sleeved scuba swimsuit

Thank you so much for reading and I’ll see you back here next week xx
