Copenhagen Fashion Week: Day 1

I’ve just come home from my first experience at Copenhagen Fashion Week. I headed over there with Lizzy from, who is as equally on board with Scandi brands as I am. We thought it was about time we paid a visit to the brands we already love and respect. We spent just two days there, and Lizzy being Lizzy, she compiled a PDF document with our appointments and show schedule on. In the PDF she had also drafted in the following question: “CAN WE GO TO ACNE STUDIOS, PLS SAY YES”. Of course, I said yes.

We were lucky enough to e hosted by CPH Studio hotel which is the perfect amount of Scandi chic, close enough to everything and all in all, cool and affordable. Decorated in HAY and minimal colour, you’re onto a win if that’s your thing.

Now day 1, lets just bare in mind that we got up at 4am and arrived in Copenhagen at 10am. So you know that delirious, tired, cold, hungry vibe? Yes? Well that’s what we were feeling! It’s always difficult to navigate a Fashion Week in a new city, location, showrooms, appointments- there’s only so much you can organize before you arrive. We did have a great first day, but Day 2 was so much more wonderful! I’ll tell you about that in my next post.

Street style at CPHFW is my favourite, although a little ‘samey’ the girls do have it nailed. Hoodies under jackets, big furs, minimal make-up. Exactly how I like it. I was surprised to find myself falling for a splash of colour though; red, mustard, even yellow!

This look is from Day 1, and I was lucky enough to work with Zalando to make it happen; they’ve got such a wonderful selection of Scandi brands that you can shop here.

Shop my pieces below:

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post. Look out for number 2 later this week!
