Laid Back NYE

It's no secret that I'm a tomboy but from time to time, it's good to get dressed up. I'm not talking sequin dresses and sky scraping heels, because we all know that's just not practical when you're going to be seeing the New Year in with a few champagnes and a lot of dancing. Before you know it your shoes will be off and your dress won't allow the dance moves you desire!

Enter the understated silk x leather combination with a bold lip and some cool yet comfortable boots.; after all, you'll be dancing into 2017.

This silk wrap front shirt from Whistles really does make me feel like a million bucks. It's really flattering and shows just the right amount of chest, which means there's room to layer up your necklaces. I tucked it into my trusty high street faux leather skirt from Zara so we've got some leg out to celebrate the new year, and celebrate your legs. The Whistles shirt also looks amazing tucked into some high waisted jeans so majorly re-usable post New Years knees up. Oh, and I've been wearing it with a roll neck underneath too.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: "Why is it so difficult to find the perfect pair of black boots?"

Let me introduce you to Dorateymur. A London based shoe designer who to be honest, can do no wrong here. From flats to boots, the design couldn't be more perfect. I adore these droop nose suede boots and their awkward calf length.

I hope this has given you some NYE inspiration! I'll be at a bottomless brunch so please wish me luck!

Thank you so much for reading.
