Long leg jeans
Hello! I hope you have had a brilliant week and you've got some great weekend plans ahead. I'm coming to you from Norfolk today. Its James' mum's 60th so were all cosied up in a cottage for a long weekend celebration.
Today's look is one of my favourites. Mainly, down to the jeans. One of my favourite past-times when I'm looking for new brands, or some inspiration, is to trawl through the pages on Matchesfashion.com. It literally has something for everybody and they have a wonderful reputation for stocking amazing under-the-radar, new brands. So you see where my time goes...
On this particular trawl, I found denim designer, Martine Rose. We're going back a few months here, but I was doing the very adult thing when one wants something that isn't a high street price, and saved up for them. For this impulsive woman, that's a big step. When you're parting with money that you work hard for, in any capacity, whether that's fashion or a gorgeous meal out, some thought process has to happen.
I love denim. We know this. So when it comes to core wardrobe pieces that I know I'll wear and re-wear, I'm quite quick to part with my money, another reason my house deposit doesn't exist yet.
I've been so into super high waisted denim that when I saw these, I was desperate to try them to see if I liked the shape on me. They're a mid rise fit, slim/straight leg, and extra long, so with heels you can see a little bit of your shoe and I really love the way that looks. They fit me incredibly well, and so far, no baggy knees or saggy bottoms after one wear. I wanted to get some off-white denim because for Spring/Summer, I love nothing more. And it's such a great colour to put together with a traditional blue denim too, so you can go all double denim without looking like Justin and Britney circa 1999.
Martine Rose denim comes in three sizes: XS, S, M. I ordered a S (8/10) to begin with but they come up really big, so I ended up in an XS which fit like a glove.

Thank you so much for reading, have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you back here on Monday! xx
