Hello! I hope you all had the best weekend, despite the wind and rain, just what was that about!? If you follow me via Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat ‘lindseyholls’, you’ll know I spent my weekend with some wonderful people at London Fashion Week. I wanted to share my first outfit with you, and also, like many others, reassure you that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.
I chose my outfit a while ago, and it took me all of 60 seconds. Honestly. When I think back a few years to when I first started attending LFW, I was the most enthusiastic, excited, nervous little blogger ever. And now? I really could take it or leave it. I’m not exaggerating when I say that everyone I bumped into had the same level of enthusiasm as me, next to none. People were just happy to be hanging out with friends and catching up, and if you ask me, that’s brilliant. One place that’s excellent for this is The Apartment, a wonderful space with like minded people, brands and influencers.
There’s such a stigma, a hierarchy even, that surrounds Fashion Month and it really isn’t encouraging. I see girls tweeting throughout the duration of it with things like “OMG SO JEALOUS I CAN’T BE AT LFW” OR “I’ll never be good enough to go to London Fashion Week”, and I can’t bear it. This celebration of fashion should, in no way, shape or form , be used as a tool to make anybody (budding or established) feel worth less than they are. That’s my crusade over. I would love to know your thoughts on this?
I really hope you love the look I went with! I was warm, comfortable and happy!
You can shop my outfit below, and let me tell you, this shirt is a dream – also shoppable below, of course.

February 23, 2016I love the look you went for and I agree with you about the whole LFW hype. I actually prefer attending LFWeekend because the atmosphere is a little more chilled and fun. I need to pop over at The Apartment soon to check it out 🙂
