Denim and stripes are many a girls go-to staples, and quite clearly, I’m one of them. I’m forever throwing this outfit on simply because, it works for me, my style (lazy) and always looks top!
Finding the right stripes to wear with the perfect denim and vice versa, can pose some problems. 

Denim: It has to fit you, and by fit, I don’t mean you’re a size 10/12/14 whatever, so that’s the size you buy. I mean, does it suit you? Are you a skinny fit, boyfriend, girlfriend or mom jean etc…
I recently got this pair by Bethnals and I live in them. I’m a tall, boyish shape so the loose fit and cropped leg are perfect for me. The wash on these is incredible as well.

Stripes: Laid back stripes are hard to do well. I find it comes down to the quality and cut of the piece you’re trying to work with. For example I know that a Primark striped tee will not be cut in the same precise way that a COS one would, so I’d rather spend a little extra to make sure it’s perfect.

Trainers: Wear whatever trainers you love. The outfit is basic enough to let you run wild with your kicks! As usual, I’m in the safety blanket of my Stan Smith’s here.
