Christmas Crafts with Laura Ashley

On Sunday I was lucky enough to be invited to a Christmas crafting session with Laura Ashley at a very beautiful venue, Rosylee, in Manchester. Now crafts and I have never and will never mix but I was excited to have a nice Christmassy day out with my fellow blogger and mate, Luisa from A Stylish Something. True to form, Luisa aced everything and I made a total mess of everything and had to restart both of my projects. What a nightmare! The first project was to create beautiful gift boxes with incredible Laura Ashley printed wallpaper using an origami technique. I got there in the end and the result was pretty special! The second was to make a Christmas sack, I haven’t used a sewing machine for 13 years. And even then it was touch and go. I lost patience pretty quickly and stabbed myself with pins more times than I care to remember but I still loved it because it was beautiful and festive! I don’t think I’ll go into the crafting business in future…..but now I know how to make some pretty serious gift boxes.

I hope you’re having a gorgeous week.
IT’S NEARLY CHRISTMAS!
Thank you so much for reading
xx
