Inside my bedroom and my head

Here, you see my pride and joy! A bedroom of my dreams that my family helped me to turn around in less than two weeks after being thrust upon my family home again after five years since moving out. I won’t bore you with the details, besides, my anxiety post was as deep as it comes and I don’t want to make a habit of it, but I’ll give you the idea… My boyfriend of six and a half years and I split up and moved out in the space of a few hours three weeks ago. Yes, it’s about the lowest I’ve felt and yes, it hurts like nothing I’ve ever experienced and leaves me feeling numb all at the same time, however, it is getting better and I know it will continue to get better. Some of you already know and have been amazing, and I know I’m not alone in this because most of you have already been where I am, so thank you so much.
Anyway, back to my bedroom of dreams. In light of my current state…I wanted to make my bedroom somewhere that was a cry-free zone, somewhere I looked forward to spending time, a place to make sure I rested, and most of all, very, very BRIGHT. I chose white and grey with pops of monochrome and gold to keep it simple and translate my style and all of the things I love into one space. Mission achieved! because I can’t tell you how much I love spending time in here, it’s my little sanctuary of peace.
Thank you so much for reading, and for all of your lovely messages. You don’t realise how much they have helped me.
xx

Your room is gorgeous, love the monochrome! Do you mind me asking where you got the silver tray and pots for your cacti? 🙂

Hope you continue to feel better, breakups are hard but time is the best healer.
